When it’s cold, I want to eat something warm that gives energy, eg lentils with chorizo. My mom makes them often. With rice it’s very tasty, you can also make them with potatoes. My partner, Paul, has learned to them from my mother. For dessert an orange suits perfect, it has the fresh taste and so the body takes more iron from lentils.

500 grams of lentils, chopped 4 carrots, 2 onions, 6 cloves garlic, 2 soft chorizo ??in pieces. A little salt, olive oil. 2 bay leaves. Optionally, rice (200 gram ) or 4 potatoes. Together 10 minutes cook in pressure cooker or 45 minutes in a normal pan.
Cook the rice separately. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with a little olive oil and vinegar over it, if necessary. Add onion pieces.
