DUTCH DESIGN WEEK IN EINDHOVEN, A WALK THROUGH THE FUTURE.

Visiting the Dutch Design Week, (till Sunday October 26), it seems like you arrive in a new world, modern, a walk through the future, inspiring. There are designers who are thinking about our needs and look for smart, personal and inventive solutions. It is the largest design event in Northern Europe, makes a connection between design, technology and people. There are three large areas with a wide variety of exhibitions, workshops, cafes, venues and activities for children. It is so big that I advise you to choose before where you want to go.

The highlight is the “CENTRAL AREA”, the Graduation Show, the graduation exhibition of the Design Academy Eindhoven, and Barracks Expo, with the presentation of renowned designers, the project the Dutch Landschapes, carpets by Kiki van Eijk and designs of Roderick Vos, Petra Janssen and Edwin Vollebergh (Studio Boot), among others.
Interesting is the “STRIJP AREA”, the carpenter-fabric by Piet Hein Eek, the Pop-Up store (books by Snor) and the Clock Building, center of the design week .
Enjoy it! “Up”: the theme of this year says it all .
